Providers who wish to receive additional preparation in Project ImPACT should complete Introductory Training. The 20-hour Introductory Training uses a rich combination of self-directed and active learning to prepare providers to implement Project ImPACT with families.
Providers complete a six-hour, interactive online tutorial that introduces the intervention techniques and parent coaching strategies. Following the tutorial, providers attend a 14-hour, multi-day workshop that uses a combination of lecture, video review, role play, and small group discussion to help providers apply the intervention techniques and parent coaching strategies. Workshops can be delivered over two full-days or four half-days and may be delivered in person or virtually.
Offered periodically throughout the year. In-person workshops are usually offered in Portland, OR and East Lansing, MI. Workshops may also be offered virtually. The cost is $675 per attendee. This cost includes access to the online tutorial and the coach and parent manual set. Open workshops are capped at 20 attendees.
Provided on-site or virtually to community organizations based on trainer availability. The cost of a closed workshop is $7,500 for up to 20 attendees, plus travel costs for the trainer for on-site workshops. This cost includes access to the online tutorial; manuals must be purchased separately by the organization for each attendee. For organizations that do not wish to use the online tutorial, the tutorial can be replaced with seven hours of in person or virtual training for an additional $3,000.
